When is the best time to start STEMpowerment Coaching?

Keep in mind that STEMpowerment Coaching seeks to help you take ownership of your journey and make confident decisions about your preparation for a career in STEM. If you want to have a sense of ownership and confidence now, the best time to start is today! If you have more defined or specific goals, read more about our coaching plans and individual services to find out when to start.

I’m not a first-generation scholar, can I still be coached?

You are more than welcome to sign-up for STEMpowerment Coaching! However, as the schedule fills up, priority will be given to those who self-identify as first-generation and part of the Latinx, Black, Indigenous or LGBTQIA+ communities.

My first language is Spanish, how will that impact my coaching experience?/Mi primer idioma es español, ¿cómo esto impacta my experiencia de coaching?

Tu coach habla español, lo cual significa que las interacciones (ejemplo, reuniones y comunicaciones escritas) van a ser en español, si esa es tu preferencia. Los documentos preparados como parte de tu coaching van a ser preparados en inglés, con excepción de aquellos documentos que vayan a ser utilizados en español. Do I need a minimum GPA to sign-up for the coaching services?

No! The STEMpowerment Team strongly believes GPA is not an indicator of future success in one’s career. If your GPA is stopping you from signing up, schedule a free consultation and let’s talk more about it.

Are there any coaching plans for graduate students in STEM?

Currently, we are in the process of developing coaching plans to better serve graduate students. For now, consider signing up for individual services. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, reach out to us at stempowerment.coaching@outlook.com describing your situation and we’ll figure out how we can help you!

I’m not sure STEMpowerment Coaching is for me, do you offer free coaching sessions for me to try it out?

We do not offer free coaching sessions at the moment. We do offer a free 30-minute consultation where you can meet your coach and ask questions about our services or the coaching process. You can also check out what current coachees say about their experience.

Do you have payment plans?

For coaching packages, we offer subscription-based monthly payments. Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans for other services. As we continue to grow as a nonprofit organization, we will start offering scholarships and awards for those individuals facing financial difficulties. I know someone who might benefit from STEMpowerment Coaching, do you have gift certificates?

We do have gift certificates available! The amount ranges from $25-$100.

If I sign up for services that include “crafting documents”, does that mean my coach will write everything for me?

Absolutely not. The coach’s role is to guide you in developing your confidence in your skills and knowledge. Your role is to put in the work, which includes writing documents. The coach’s guidance and advice combined with your effort is what leads to empowerment.
